Make Music Better

My name is Micah, and my mission is to make music better.

There’s a lot of talk about what is wrong with popular music, but not a lot of talk about what is right with music. Implicitly, the critics and naysayers maintain that artists should be making better music. Current music is lazy, they say. It’s unskilled. It panders to the lowest common denominator.

But music, taken as a whole, is a reflection of the society and the people in that society. And that can never be a bad thing. Mirrors reflect the good and bad, but most importantly, they reflect objects faithfully. Meeting music where it is can be a gateway toward meeting the people behind it where they are, as well.
